According to a report in the Ft Payne Times-Journal – Dr. Trina Wood – currently serving as Assistant Superintendent of the Cherokee County School System – is one of five candidates being considered for the post of Superintendent of Guntersville City Schools.
One of the five will apparently be the successor to Superintendent Dale Edwards – who has announced his plans to retire.
According to the Sand Mountain Reporter, a total of 47 people applied for the position.
Dr. Wood also serves as Attendance Coordinator and the Special Education Coordinator in Centre, and had previously served as a Science Teacher in DeKalb County.
