Etowah County Deputies Arrest Two Following High Speed Chase

Chase 10Two men are facing a long list of charges, following a high-speed chase which started in the Duck Springs community and ended when the driver pulled off the roadway on Sand Valley Road before fleeing into the woods, where he was soon found lying on the ground hiding in the brush.

22 year old Colton Tyler Lee Works of Attalla stands charged with Attempting to Elude and Resisting Arrest in addition to Reckless Endangerment, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Jonah Andrew Salers, age 20 – was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Works is a suspect in an Etowah County Burglary case; that investigation is on-going.

Both men are being held in the Etowah County Detention Center with bond for Works set at $6,000; he was out on bond for a manufacturing charge in Marshall County – Salers is being held without bond due to a probation violation in Marshall County.
