A 57 year old Attalla man was killed in a Wednesday night accident involving his vehicle and an eighteen wheeler.
That crash took place just after 9:30 on U.S. 231, about six miles north of Pell City, when a 2003 Mercury Marquis driven by Julius Vann Cook, collided with a 2007 Freightliner, being driven by Tyrone Corbin of Apollo Beach, Florida.
Cooke was pronounced dead at the scene while his passenger, Marilyn Cook, was taken to UAB Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
That accident remains under investigation.
