Etowah County Drug Take-Back Day is set for Saturday, September 27th.
That event will take place at the East Gadsden Wal-Mart from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
During that time you can safely dispose of out-of-date medicines. Please be sure to remove any identifying labels before bring those medications in.
During previous Take-Back events, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, more than 4.1 million pounds of prescription medications were removed from circulation – nationwide.
A law enforcement officer will remain with the drug disposal box at all times, and the drugs turned in will be treated as evidence and properly disposed of.
