Etowah County Sheriff’s Office Asking For The Public’s Assistance In Finding A Missing Person From Pickens County

The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing person from Pickens County.

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said, “We are assisting the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office in the case of missing person, Christy Lynn Kelly Cook.  The truck she was last known to be traveling in was found in Etowah County.”

Cook was last seen in Pickens County around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7th and was reported missing by a family member.  The male known to be with her, Anthony McClellan, was found near County Line Beverages on Highway 11 North, Attalla, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8th.  The black, GMC extended cab truck was recovered, on Friday, March 10th, in a wooded area near Stephens Gap Road, in the Keener community.  A 1995, Excel ski boat that was allegedly being pulled by the truck has not been located.

Cook, 39 years old, is a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs approximately 150 pounds.  She has a tattoo of the number 5150 on the right side of her neck. 

Sheriff Entrekin added, “It is unknown at this time where Cook may be.  She could be anywhere between Pickens and Etowah counties.  We believe she could be in danger and need the public’s assistance in helping us locate this woman.”
