An Etowah County woman, 21 year old Destiny Bree Stipes, of an Altoona address, has been arrested on one count of Chemical Endangerment of a Child – which is a felony.
Investigator Brandi Fuller said Stipes had been initially arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear on prior drug charges. Stipes reportedly informed a detention center employee she was pregnant, and admitted to using methamphetamine and Suboxine while aware she was pregnant.
She is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond, on the Chemical Endangerment charge and as a condition of her bond she must successfully complete a drug treatment program, and will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections upon release.
She does not have a bond for the Failure to Appear warrant, and is also facing charges from another agency.
