Laure Clemons, the founder of the Extended Family organization, paid a visit to the WEIS Radio studios this week – to discuss what the program does, and how it works.

Extended Family has become an invaluable resource for those needing assistance – or just advice – in regard to their particular circumstances, when a loved one is incarcerated.

And this weekend, there’s a FREE community event, for anyone wishing to learn more about the program – it’s the Extended Family 10th Annual Celebration of Life – taking place between 6:00 and 8:00pm.

That FREE event will be held in the Chamber of Commerce Community Room on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre and will feature as keynote speaker – Dr. Eddie Lancaster, the Re-Entry & Education Coordinator for the Alabama Department of Corrections.
