Family Thankful for the Outpouring of Support in Wake of Fire

Spirit 1

Sometimes it takes a tragic event to make you fully realize just how fortunate you are in the overall scheme of things; for instance an outpouring of support from friends, neighbors and family members in the wake of a house fire can certainly take away, at least to some degree, the pain of losing those hard-earned possessions:

The fire took place last Thursday afternoon December 17th at around 2:00pm on Boundary Avenue, and luckily, no one was seriously injured; firefighters of the Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville and Centre departments were all on the scene within just minutes of the call.

One person did have to be treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, according to Cherokee EMS. Ben, otherwise known as “Cowboy”, was at work at Chattooga River Valley when that blaze took place, echoed Heather’s sentiments regarding the community:

Heather, Ben and the three children, Elijah, J.W. and April wanted to take the time to issue a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone in the area for making this a very special Christmas.
