Fight at DeKalb County School Results in Student Being Stabbed

According to DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris a stabbing incident occurring Wednesday morning at Ider High School left one juvenile injured, and in the custody of his parents after being treated by the school nurse meanwhile the other individual was taken to the county’s juvenile probation office in Ft Payne.

The pair was apparently in the school gym when the argument broke out.

Sheriff Harris stated he’s thankful the incident was handled so effectively, and that resource officers are stationed at school campuses across the county.

No additional information is being released at this time – the investigation into the matter is on-going.
