Police in Fort Payne arrested 39-year-old Ty Darrell Smith of Fort Payne on charges of production of pornography of minors and making a terrorist threat on Jan. 16.
Police say the victim is a 16-year-old female and told them she received text messages from Smith relating to sexual favors.
Smith made threats to the victim, that if she would not cooperate he would harm her family including the family pet.
The investigation is ongoing with more charges forthcoming.
