Four Individuals Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges

AM 1Etowah County authorities have arrested four individuals in connection with an attempted murder.

According to information contained in a news release from Sheriff Todd Entrekin – Lindsey Michelle Warren, age 36; Ann Marie Dyer/Hahn, age 43 and Eric Lee George, age 33 – all of Altoona; and Brian Adam Maloy, age 43 of Boaz – were all charged with Attempted Murder, First Degree Kidnapping and First Degree Robbery.

The attack on the male victim allegedly began over an argument concerning a stolen purse, on Sunday, December 7th. The victim’s hands were bound by handcuffs – and his legs with duct tape – while the group repeatedly beat the man with a bat-like object. They also took his cell phone and about $70 in cash from his wallet.

Eventually the man managed to escape and go next door for help.

He was taken to a Birmingham hospital where he was placed in the intensive care unit due to the severity of his injuries. Sheriff Entrekin says the man is now recovering at home.

All four suspects are currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center with cash bonds set at $150,000 each.
