Gadsden Grocery Store Robbed at Gunpoint Thursday Night

ALDI Grocery

Gadsden Police are still searching for a masked gunman who confronted the manager of the Aldi Grocery Store in the parking lot of the business, just before 10:00 Thursday night – and made off with an undetermined amount of money.

The store manager told police he was headed to his car after closing up, when he was approached by a man wearing a red hoodie and a white t-shirt, armed with a handgun.  According to the store manager, the suspect put the gun to his head and forced him back inside the store and once inside forced him to hand over the money.

As the individual fled the scene, he dropped some of the money – which police later recovered in the parking lot.

The incident remains under investigation by the Gadsden Police Department.
