A 29 year old Gadsden man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to set up a meeting with a 15 year old girl for sex.
Gadsden Police arrested James Michael Ward, after members of the Special Project’s Team said he made contact through social media with what he thought was an underage girl last Thursday – (July 31st) however it turned out to be a false ID created by investigators.
Ward soon attempted to set up a meeting at Williamsburg Apartments in Gadsden and when he arrived that afternoon, Gadsden Police Officers placed him under arrest.
He is currently being held without bond in the Etowah County Detention Center.
