A Gadsden teenager was fatally injured while walking across the street Friday night.
According to Etowah County Coroner Michael Head 18 year old Ashton Byers was struck by a truck around 7:30pm as he was crossing in the 1300 block of Alabama Street.
Byers was transported to Gadsden Regional Medical Center where he died.
The incident remains under investigation by Gadsden Police.
