A man wearing a black mask entered the Title Cash store on East Meighan Boulevard about 5:30 Wednesday afternoon, and after threatening a female employee made off with around $700; Gadsden police reports indicate that after getting the money the suspect grabbed the woman by the hair and forced her into a restroom – telling her not to come out or he would kill her.

She finally came out after around 10 minutes, and saw that the man was gone – apparently taking the victim’s cell phone as he left.

After police arrived, she told then she never actually saw a gun although she felt something pointing against her back during the incident and before being given the money she said he had said “Don’t make me shoot you,”

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, standing about five-ten (5’ 10”).

The investigation into the incident is on-going.
