The Cherokee County Board of Education has approved a date change for Gaylesville High School’s 2014 Graduation.
The date was moved from May 22nd to May 21st at 5 p.m. so that the commencement exercises could be held in the arena at Gadsden State Cherokee.
In other action during Tuesday’s meeting, the school board accepted the retirement of Sharon Hilburn, Instructional Coach at Spring Garden School. She retires on January the 1st after 15 and a-half years of service.
The board also accepted the resignation of Special Education Paraprofessional and Bus Aide Katrina Pearsey.
