Georgia State Patrol Investigating Accident That Killed Two Teachers

The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate a Friday wreck that claimed the lives of Christi Mooney and Marsha Coleman.

According to the Glenwood Primary School website, Mooney was a Kindergarten Teacher at Glennwood.

She and Coleman, a parapro in the class, had worked together for 19-years.  Both had been at Glenwood for 22 years.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Mooney and Coleman were traveling westbound on Highway 140 between Old Dalton Road and the river, when a pickup truck traveling east crossed the center line and struck their car.

The driver of the truck, identified as 30-year old Ricardo Clarke of Moran Lake Road was also killed.

The wreck occurred around 9:10 PM and emergency crews were on the scene until around midnight on Friday night.
