Glencoe Man Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Police Officer

Vaughn, Floyd

A Glencoe man is behind bars after allegedly threatening to shoot a police officer.

58 year old Floyd Isaac Vaughn apparently had no idea that he was making the threat in front of another police officer.

Investigators stated that Vaughn told a Hokes Bluff Police Officer on May 25th that he “…didn’t appreciate the way a Glencoe Police Officer had spoken to him” during a previous incident and according to a news release from Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, threatened to shoot that officer the next time he saw him.

Vaughn was later taken into custody by Sheriff Entrekin during a traffic stop and he is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond, after being charged with one count of making a terrorist threat – which is a felony.
