Glencoe Woman Charged with Reckless Endangerment

Bragg 1A Glencoe woman has been jailed on a number of charges including reckless endangerment – after a Detention Deputy at the Etowah County Detention Center was stuck by a needle as she was patting down the subject at the facility.

24 year old Leah Nichole Bragg was repeatedly asked if she had anything in her clothing, or attached to her, which might harm the deputy – and Bragg consistently told the deputy that she did not.

As the deputy began to search Bragg’s clothing she was stuck in the hand by a needle which was in the waist band of the subject’s pants. In addition to Reckless Endangerment – Bragg was charged with one count of Assault 3rd Degree and with one count of Promoting Prison Contraband 3rd Degree.

She was booked into the Detention Center and later released on $2,500 bond.
