Grady Lee “Buddy” Fletcher age 81 of Centre passed away on Wednesday September 20th at Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday September 23rd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Rainey and Rev. Tim Smith officiating, burial will follow in Daniel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Jeff Weaver, Stanley Weaver, DeWayne Pierce, Tracy Pierce, Johnny Wynn, Steve Brewster, Jim Green, Lance Estes, Trey Jordan and Blake Kiser. Honorary Pallbearers will be Valley Joist co-workers.
Survivors include wife, Virginia Brewster Fletcher of Centre; sons, Hank (Geraldine) Fletcher of Leesburg and Tony (Judy) Fletcher of Cedar Bluff; daughters, Ginny (Gene) Wilson of Gaylesville and Lisa (Scott) Adrian of Pollard’s Bend; brother, Ricky Fletcher of Blue Pond; sisters, Jessie Pierce of Blue Pond and Susie Wynn of Gaylesville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Fletcher and Sonny Fletcher; sister, Betty Green
Mr. Fletcher was a native of Jackson County and the son of the late Willie Lee and Thelola “Lola” Helms Fletcher and attended Centre Congregational Holiness Church.
