Harvey Odis Wade, age 89 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Friday, June 24th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 3:PM Monday, June 27th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Chip Smith and Rev. Kirby Rowland officiating; burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Jason Poss, Joshua Poss, Matthew Wade, Craig Wade, Marcus Whelchel, Brian Whelchel, Dusty Waddell, Benjamin Winters.
Survivors include wife, Annie Ruth Bishop Wade; son, Harvey Steven (Terry) Wade of Cedar Bluff; daughters, Rebecca Ruth (Garry) Poss of Leesburg, Elizabeth Ann (Cavin) Winters of Coosa, GA, Elsa Claudette Tallent of Cedar Bluff, Brenda Lee (Greg) Whelchel of Rome, GA; brother, Robert Wade of Cedar Bluff; sister, Donnie Peek of Rome, GA; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; special dog, Suzy.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Herbert and Marvin Wade and sisters, Bershia Wheeling, Vera Early, Patty Cooper and a step-grandson, Brandon Waddell.
Mr. Wade was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Harvey Snow and Dora Esther Ray Wade, was a farmer, retired from Fruit of the Loom in Leesburg, enjoyed gardening, Atlanta Braves, Alabama Football and was a member and decon of Fair Haven Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fair Haven Baptist Church.
