Hokes Bluff Man Arrested On Drug Charges

One individual has been arrested drug related charges in Etowah County.  Brian Keith Stovall, 32, of Hokes Bluff, is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

On February 15, 2017, Etowah County Drug Enforcement Agents observed a vehicle driven by Stovall  swerving from one side of the road to the other on I759. After Agents stopped the vehicle, they noticed Stovall stuffing something in the seat. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of two loaded syringes containing an opiate mixture. Also, two burnt spoons were recovered. This case was made as part of cooperation efforts between the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, Gadsden Police Department, and the ECDEU to address citizen complaints of crimes committed in their areas.

Stovall was arrested and transported to the Etowah County Detention Center. The bond was set at $2500.00. The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, Gadsden police Department and the FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force participated in the case.

The arrests  were based on Probable Cause and they are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
