Home of Alabama Lead Guitarist Jeff Cook Burglarized; Four Now in Custody

Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the June 2nd burglary occurring at the Ft Payne home of Alabama lead guitarist Jeff Cook.

Police said Wednesday that the men are accused of stealing several guitars, sports memorabilia, a video camera, several firearms and other personal items from the residence on Scenic Drive.

The suspects have been identified as – 25 year old Joshua Drew Hammonds – 34 year old Jacob Allen Lea – 25 year old Matthew Kevin Patterson – and 28 year old Derrick Lynn Martin.

Hammonds, Lea and Patterson each stand charged with Burglary 3rd Degree – while Martin was charged with Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree.

Ft Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum says the stolen items were recovered in Ft Payne, DeKalb County and Jackson County and as far away as Montgomery.

All four are currently being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
