Firefighters responding to the report of a structure fire on Sherry Drive in Centre just after 12:00 noon Monday, arrived to find both a house and a small storage building in the yard ablaze.
We spoke with several neighbors, all of whom told us they’d heard a huge explosion prior to the fire with the force of that explosion being so strong pictures were actually dislodged from walls in homes both next door and down the street.
It seems family members had been visiting neighbors when the fire started – and fortunately – it appears one was injured during the incident.
The outbuilding was a complete loss with the home itself receiving major damage.
