iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Americans around the country are getting ready for Thanksgiving just as an airport strike could add to the travel chaos.
There’s some concern in the air travel industry that 2,000 contracted airport workers, including baggage handlers, janitors and wheelchair attendants, threatening to strike at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport could throw a wrench in travelers’ plans. The workers are demanding safer working conditions and $15 minimum wage.
But airline representatives tell ABC News’ David Kerley that even if there is a strike, the companies will bring in non-union workers to counter potential delays.
