Hundreds Gather In Cedar Bluff Park For Severe Weather Awareness Tour

Hundreds of residents descended upon the Cedar Bluff Town Park on Thursday to get their chance to meet and greet with the Storm Alert Weather Crew from ABC 33/40.

DSC_0888Chief Meteorologist James Spann, along with meteorologists Charles Daniel, Meaghan Thomas and Brian Peters were all on hand making photographs and getting to know the locals.

WEIS Radio News spoke to Meteorologist Charles Daniels who told us what the real intent of these visits are all about

Cedar Bluff Mayor Tammy Crane and the Town Council presented Spann with an official key to the city as well as a handmade, homemade from Cedar Bluff resident Christy Agan.

In between newscasts, attendees had an opportunity to take pictures with their favorite meteorologists.

Spann told WEIS Radio News  “Our goal is to make sure every family, business and church has a severe weather plan, and knows how they will receive the warnings.”
