Indictments have been handed down against two individuals in connection with an alleged armed robbery at the McGowan Jones Pharmacy occurring in Shannon in June.
35 year old Michael Edward Jones of Sunflower Place, was arrested June 16th, on warrants accusing him of entering the business located at 363 Burlington Road and making demands to employees while brandishing a weapon.
28 year old Angelis Necole Smith was arrested around a week later for allegedly aiding and advising in the incident. More than $800 worth of pain killers were taken in the robbery.
Fortunately no one was hurt
A Floyd County Grand Jury returned armed robbery indictments against Jones & Smith late last week.
