Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones in “Inferno”; Sony Pictures Entertainment(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide today:
* Inferno, the third movie made from author Dan Brown’s bestselling religio-pulp novels, again stars Tom Hanks as symbology and iconography expert Robert Langdon, who follows a trail of clues tied to Dante, the great medieval poet. After waking up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with a doctor — played by Felicity Jones — whom he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to stop a madman, played by Ben Foster, from unleashing a virus that could wipe out half of the world’s population. Inferno is rated PG-13.
