Inmate Charged with Murder in Connection with Death at Floyd County Jail

Allen 1000According to Floyd County Jail records, 30 year old Denver Allen was charged with murder on Thursday, in connection with the death of another inmate at the facility.

Stephen Rudolph Nalley, age 49, was pronounced dead at around 3:15 Wednesday morning

Deputy Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor stated that Nalley died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Nalley, who was being housed in “O” Block had been incarcerated since August 12th (2015) on charges of Burglary 1st Degree, Aggravated Stalking and a Superior Court Order to serve seven months and 27 days in jail. Allen has been in jail since August 19th, and he was being held for the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.

That case remains under investigation by the GBI.
