Inmate Death at Floyd County Jail / UPDATE – Now Ruled Homicide

NalleyDeputy Coroner Gene Proctor has ruled the death of a Floyd County Jail inmate a homicide, due to blunt force trauma to the head.

Stephen Rudolph Nalley was pronounced dead at approximately 3:15am Wednesday

Nalley, age 49, had been in jail since August 12th (2015) on charges of first degree burglary, aggravated stalking, and a Superior Court Order to serve seven months and 27 days behind bars.

He was being housed in the O Block.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was immediately notified of that situation, and arrived at the facility approximately an hour later to begin their investigation.

No additional information is being released at this time.
