Coach Lisa Bates from Sand Rock School, stopped by the WEIS Radio studios on Wednesday morning to discuss a new program for school children across Cherokee County:
Meeting a potential employer face to face for the first time, can be an extremely frightening proposition, especially for young people who have never been through a job interview.
By letting students get a “feel” for the process, learning what to do and what not to do, they can “brush up” on their skills, greatly increasing their chances of landing that first job.
They’re currently looking for as many volunteers as possible to act as potential employers – helping students go through that interviewing process, and then offering advice to improve their performance.
