Jody Willoughby is now the new Etowah County District Attorney.
Willoughby took the oath of office Monday morning.
He is a graduate of Southside High School – and attended law school at Faulkner University-Jones School of Law in Montgomery; he had been serving as an attorney in Gadsden prior to his appointment as District Attorney.
Willoughby replaces Jimmie Harp, who passed away in July, at the age of 49; Harp had first been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2007.
