Jury selection in the murder trial of Cedar Bluff resident Terry Lee McKinney started Monday morning (October 31st) in Cherokee County.

McKinney is accused of killing and dismembering Leroy “Pete” Foster, also from Cedar Bluff, back in March of last year (2015).  A search of McKinney’s home on Rocky Ford Point Road turned up a number of things according to Investigator Josh Summerford, which included the victim’s wallet, a pair of pants that contained blood and human tissue, and a number of body parts, along with a chainsaw allegedly used in the crime.

Just prior to noon, Judge Shaunathan Bell announced that court would break for lunch, then re-convene at 1:15 to continue the jury selection process.
