Sixteen year old Kobe Thomas died at a Chattanooga-area hospital on Sunday from injuries sustained when he was struck by a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro on Bert Road on last Friday.
In the initial report, the driver and passengers in the vehicle stated Thomas had stepped in front of the vehicle and the driver did not have time to stop – however Thomas’ mother told an Atlanta television station that her son was trying to “jump” the car.
The police report indicated Thomas went over the hood, roof and the trunk of the car prior to landing in the roadway.
