Leesburg Accident Sends Two Motorcycle Riders for Treatment of Injuries

A two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle occurring on Sunday morning in Leesburg sent two people to the hospital.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the wreck took place at 10:09am on Lokey Street and involved a 2006 GMC driven by a 16 year old Leesburg resident and a 1980 Yamaha motorcycle being driven by 35 year old Billy Nail from Collinsville.  The juvenile was uninjured however both Nail and a passenger on the bike, Jacklyn Daniel of Ft Payne, also age 35, were listed on the report as being injured in the mishap.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
