Leesburg Police Arrest Three Individuals On Drug Charges During A Traffic Stop At The Coosa Corner

Three individuals were arrested on drug charges in Leesburg during the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Leesburg Police Investigator Joe Johnson said that 25 year old Jeffery Montez Jackson of Gadsden was charged with five counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substances and Giving False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer, 23 year old Jacob Lee Rush of Springville was charged with five counts of the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree and 25 year old Elizabeth Ann Williams of Ashville was charged with four counts of the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Attempting to Distribute Heroin in addition to an outstanding Felony Probation Violation out of Talladega County.

All three were arrested in the parking lot of the Coosa Corner following a traffic stop at around 3:30 Tuesday morning and were found to be in possession of Heroin, Cocaine, Meth and Spice. Investigator Johnson said he would like to thank Cedar Bluff Officer Chris Vaughn, Cedar Bluff Reserve Officer Levi Welsh and Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brian Gilliland for their assistance in with the case.

At this time all three suspects remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond.
