It was another busy evening for the Leesburg Police Department and Officer Joe Johnson.
In a joint effort with Centre Police Officers Will Clark and Matt Peek and Deputy Tyler Perea, the group of officers arrested April Renae Langston of Leesburg and Amber Nicole Smith of Leesburg and charging them with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
This arrest was made in the Al hwy 9 and Al hwy 35 area of Cherokee County. Officer Johnson also arrested James Pendergrass for Theft of Property 3rd Degree.
