Leesburg Police Department Successfully Closes Several Cases

Leesburg PD (official)Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum has informed WEIS Radio News that his department has already made a number of cases this month (June 2014), including the arrest of two individuals on charges of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

On June 8th – 23 year old Mitchell Blake Slayton from Leesburg, and 28 year old LaTrisha Rose Mobbs of Gaylesville, were both taken into custody. Officer Chris Vaughn also recovered some items that had been taken from a vehicle at the Little River Canyon National Park on the same date; the Leesburg PD and National Park Service are currently working together to bring federal charges against those involved in the theft.

Also on June 8th two individuals – 26 year old Barbara Morris Chaska of Centre, and 35 year old Adam Lynn Wright, of a Sand Rock address – were placed under arrest on charges of Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree.

35 year old Elvis Preston Bishop of Gaylesville was arrested on June 7th – on a warrant for Non-Support; he was additionally charged with Public Intoxication at the time of his arrest.

And

On June 16th the arrest of Rebecca Ingram of Cedar Bluff brought to a close a burglary case that the department had been working on since May (2014). Ingram was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft of Property 1st Degree.
