Legal Wrangling in Capital Murder Case Continues

Garrard HearingProsecutors in the capital murder case against the grandmother accused of forcing her nine year old granddaughter to run non-stop until she collapsed, will have more time to respond to legal challenges calling into question the accuracy of the results of the child’s autopsy as well as other issues.

Savannah Hardin had reportedly been forced to run non-stop for some three hours – as the punishment for telling a lie; Savannah eventually collapsed and she was taken to Riverview Regional Medical Center where she died three days later.

The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has announced that the prosecutors, will have until next week to answer the arguments filed by attorneys for Joyce Hardin Garrard.
