One person was transported to the hospital, following a crash involving a logging truck and an SUV near the intersection of Kingston Highway and Georgia Loop 1 Monday afternoon at about 12:30. According to the Floyd County Police Department the SUV was on 293 and the logging truck apparently misjudged the red light and hit the front end of the vehicle.
The driver of the SUV was alert and conscious afterwards, and was taken to the hospital for the treatment of what appeared to be only minor injuries.
