Services for Lois McCord, 91, of Piedmont will be Tuesday , December 06, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends  Monday, December 5, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. McCord passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at RMC Anniston.

Survivors include her son, Keith McCord of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Lauryn Richardson (Daniel) of Centre and Lindsey Haygood (Mark) of Sand Rock; three grandchildren, Aubrey Richardson,Taylor Shubert and Trace Shubert; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCord was a Cherokee County native and a longtime resident of Piedmont.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, retired from SCT Yarn and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 671/2 years Hugh McCord and 12 siblings. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad, PO Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272.
