Lora Logan Patty

Lora Logan Patty passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday January 31, 2016, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 19, 1926 in Key, AL, and just celebrated her 90th birthday. Lora was married on May 28, 1947, to the love of her life, Paul L. Patty, for 42 years. She was a loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She moved to Baton Rouge, LA, in 1963 where she raised her family. Lora had a green thumb that would surpass most. She also loved to cook and sew for her children and grandkids. Lora was loved beyond measure and will be GREATLY missed. Lora is survived by her daughters, Theresa Patty Johnson and husband Clif of Goodlettsville, TN, and Jonniece Patty Coon of McComb, MS; sons, Richard Louis Patty and wife Carolyn of Baton Rouge, LA, and Harvey E. Patty and wife Kathleen of Dutchtown, LA; grandchildren, Randy Johnson and wife Leigh of Decatur, IL, Dana Johnson Vanveckhoven and husband Russell of White House, TN, Paula Varnado-Sullivan and husband Sean of Walker, LA, Leanne Davis and husband Jimmy of Walker, LA, Gerry Varnado and wife Karisha of Denham Springs, LA,
Jason Patty and wife Boni of Denham Springs, LA Kelly Patty Bishop and husband Dathan of Denham Springs, LA, Lisa Campo and husband Craig of Alexandria, LA, Tina Graham of Baton Rouge, LA, Paul W. Patty of Prairieville, LA, Chris Patty of Dutchtown, LA, Sarah Patty of NORCO, LA, and Erin Patty of Colorado Springs, CO; 25 great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Louis Patty; father, Will Logan; mother, Savannah Connell Logan; sisters, Glennie Cochran and Kathleen Logan; and brothers, Joe Logan, Hugh Logan, Houston Logan, Norval Logan, and Cecil Logan. Pall Bearers will be her
grandsons and great-grandsons. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Resthaven Funeral Home, from 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am.
