LouElla Tucker Traylor

LouElla Tucker Traylor, 92-years old, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2014, at the Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center, after having lived most of her adult years in Gadsden, Alabama.

LouElla had worked on the “tire line” for Goodyear Tire Company for all of her employed life.

The daughter of Van and Jennie Tucker, LouElla and her now deceased husband, Lorraine “Buck” Traylor, traveled throughout the world, including her favorite destination Singapore. She was of the Methodist faith and was a life-long University of Alabama football fan.

She is preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters: Lee Roy Tucker, Agnes T. Chesnut, L.D. Tucker, Joe Tucker, Edith T. King, and nephew John Lee Chesnut, Jr.

Surviving are her beloved nieces, Kay K. Davis and Dewandee K. Neyman, and several great-and great-great nieces and nephews.

Although she had lived in Gadsden for most of her life, she called Tucker’s Chapel “Home.”

Graveside services will be 2 P.M. Friday, July 25, 2014 at Crestwood Cemetery. No visitation. Memorials may be made to: Nettie King Brown Clearinghouse, Post Office Box 53, Centre, AL 35960.
