A 60 year old Rome man was jailed after allegedly making threatening motions with a gun – as a Georgia Power Company helicopter was flying over his property.
Steven Edward Morgan is accused of holding up a rifle and waving it toward the chopper.
Afterwards, authorities were notified of Morgan’s actions and when speaking with the man, the learned that he was upset with the power company because they had been cutting trees on the property behind his and some of the trees had fallen on his fencing, causing damage.
According to the report, Morgan said if those cutting trees returned, he would shoot them.
He has been charged with felony Terroristic Threats & Acts.
