Man Arrested After Walking into Summerville CVS Brandishing Gun

A northwest Georgia resident landed behind bars after reportedly walking into a pharmacy with a gun and loudly announcing that he had the gun and that police wouldn’t take it away from him.

That incident occurred at the Summerville CVS in Chattooga County and the subject making the threats was identified as 49 year old Johnny Crawford Edwards of Rome; according to a report by the Summerville News – Police Officer Harley Elliot said Edwards appeared to be under the influence of meth.

When confronted by officers Edwards handed over the weapon without incident; according to jail reports he was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the disturbance – it’s unknown whether any additional charges are pending.
