Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, arrested a 24 year old man on the charge of Battery, under the Family Violence Act, after his neighbor in the Spring Creek Road area, reported seeing him involved in an altercation with a young woman.

When deputies arrived they encountered a woman who stated that her boyfriend – later identified as Michael Eller – had punched her in the nose and had possibly broken it.

When confronted, Eller admitted to being in an argument with his girlfriend – but denied striking her.

In their report deputies noted that the woman’s nose appeared “swollen and somewhat crooked”, and that Eller’s right hand was also swollen.

According to the report, the argument began when the young woman, who lived with Eller – told him that she was leaving him.
