A Silver Creek man has been arrested in connection with the carjacking which took place a week ago on Reeceburg Road.
Andy Lathan Morgan, age 24, has been charged with Armed Robbery and Hijacking a Motor Vehicle; according to Floyd County Police Department Investigators Morgan allegedly used a weapon to threaten the driver of a 1996 Ford Mustang during the early morning hours of September 8th.
The driver, along with two passengers, were told to get out of the vehicle with Morgan then driving away; fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.
Morgan was taken into custody on Sunday (September 14th) just outside of Cedartown, by state authorities on an outstanding parole violation.
The car is still missing.
The 1996 Ford Mustang is yellow in color, with black racing stripes on the hood and a solid black roof; the vehicle also has zebra=striped seat covers.
The tag number is PWE5885.
