An Anniston man was jailed on domestic violence charges Monday for allegedly choking his girlfriend.
31 year old Allen Alldredge, was arrested by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, after the victim told them that he had screamed and cursed at her – then began choking her after she told him she was leaving.
Fortunately the woman was able to get away and then went to the hospital for treatment of a swollen neck; hospital staff then notified police of her injuries.
Alldredge was charged with Domestic Violence by Strangulation – which is a felony.
He was booked into the Anniston City Jail and released the same day on $15,000 bond – his court date has been set for October 20th.
