The name of the man fatally injured when a tractor trailer slammed into his pickup truck in Polk County, has now been released.
Deputy Coroner Marty Robinson has identified the victim as 67 year old Richard Allen Jolly of a Culp Lake Road address. Jolly was pronounced dead at the scene, after his vehicle was struck at the intersection of Highway 278 and Canal Street.
His body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy; no word yet on whether or not any charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
The wreck remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
