Man Sentenced to Life Plus Five Years in Connection with Fatal Shooting

One of the two men charged in the shooting death of Travious Floyd in Rome has now been found guilty of felony Murder.

Stephon Rickman was sentenced by Judge Tami Colson to Life plus five years.

Floyd was shot and killed in May of last year at the corner of Tribune Street and 5th Avenue following an incident which had occurred earlier at a night club on Broad Street.

Rickman was additionally found guilty on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

A second defendant, Joseph E. Williams, has yet to go to trial.
